Book Review--90 Days Thru the Bible

Author Chris Tiegreen successfully provides a succinct synopsis of the Bible in 90 Days Thru the Bible.  The author is able to capture the essence of each book in the Bible in one or a few days devotional reading.  The readings captivate one's attention and the Questions for Reflection provide just that--moments for further introspection.  A 13-week study plan is also available.

This devotional reading distinguishes itself from others because the books of the Bible are shown to be interwoven as one story-God's and not just singular/compartmentalized stories.  God's overall purpose--human salvation in Jesus--is reiterated throughout the book.  This enables the reader to see more difficult portions of the Bible clearer when keeping God's overall purpose in constant view.  Jesus is not  restricted to the New Testament either.  God's redemptive plan of salvation in Jesus is in full view from Genesis through Revelation.

I would recommend this book to form part of any Christian's library whether you are reading the Bible in 90 days or not.
